Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 sticks of butter
- 0.5 tsp celery seed
- 14.5 oz chicken broth
- 4 cups cooked chicken meat (I used Rotisserie packaged Fajita meat)
- 2 Pillsbury® Crescent Seamless Dough Sheets
- 0.6666667 cup flour
- 14.5 oz cut green beans (drained)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 3.6666667 cup milk
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 15 oz sweet peas and carrots (drained)
- 1 large white onion, chopped
Instructions:
- Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium pan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion. Cook until the onion is sautéed for about 10 minutes.
- Add the celery seed, onion powder, and Italian seasoning to the pan, stirring well.
- Add the flour to the mixture and stir well. Once thickened (about 30 seconds), start whisking in the milk and chicken broth. Continue to whisk until thickened to a consistency of a slightly thick gravy.
- Add the cooked chicken meat, drained sweet peas and carrots, and drained cut green beans to the pan. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Place the Chicken Pot Pie filling mixture into a prepared 9 x 13 glass baking dish.
- Cover the dish with 2 Pillsbury Crescent Seamless Dough sheets and then bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
- After 10-15 minutes of baking, add a sheet of foil to cover the top of the dish once it turns golden brown. Continue to bake for the remaining time.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
